The Phlebotomy Technician Program is delivered through distance education and is organized into structured instructional modules. Each module includes assigned readings, recorded instruction, knowledge checks, and competency-based assessments.

The curriculum is designed to align with nationally recognized phlebotomy content standards used by third-party certification organizations such as the National Healthcareer Association (NHA) and similar credentialing agencies.*

Skills Development Component

Students participate in structured simulation-based skills practice activities designed to reinforce procedural knowledge and safety standards.

Skills practice includes:

• Equipment preparation sequencing

• Order of draw memorization

• Procedure sequencing exercises

• Infection control protocol demonstrations

• Documentation simulations

This program does not include live clinical practice or patient contact.

Grading & Completion Requirements

Students must:

• Complete all assigned modules

• Pass all required assessments

• Achieve a minimum final course average of [Insert % Requirement]

• Satisfactorily complete structured skills assignments

Upon successful completion, students receive a Certificate of Completion.

Skills Verification

Skills verification and documentation is available for those seeking a national certification. This can be in the form of video submission, or signed attestation by a preceptor. 

Course completion results in a Stonecrest Health Certificate of Completion as a Phlebotomy Technician, with a certificate issued to you. The addition of 30 blood draws either by practice model or live patient makes the student eligible to take the National Certification Exam from the NHA or AMCA.
