Program Description

The ECG Monitor Technician Program at Stonecrest Health prepares students with the knowledge and skills required to perform continuous cardiac rhythm monitoring in clinical settings. Instruction includes cardiac anatomy and physiology, basic electrocardiography principles, rhythm interpretation fundamentals, lead placement, monitoring equipment operation, patient safety, documentation standards, and professional communication.

Graduates are prepared for entry-level employment as ECG Monitor Technicians, Telemetry Technicians, or Cardiac Monitor Technicians. Employment opportunities may be available in hospitals, telemetry units, cardiac care units, emergency departments, and other healthcare facilities utilizing cardiac monitoring systems.
